Well-rested

This is what I get to wake up to every morning. :)
This adorable kid wakes up super happy and energetic every day... or at least this is what he looks like after he gets breakfast. Note the blurry leg that wouldn't stop kicking. :)

I wish I woke up so well in the morning. Of course, if I got as much sleep as he did, and if someone fed me breakfast in bed every morning, I just might feel this great too.

But get this: he's not quite 3 months now, and he may or may not have just slept for 10+ hours straight! I'm actually not entirely sure if he did or not. (Is that bad?) I know that he nursed to sleep with Marie last night around 9pm (don't judge me for putting them down so late... the longer days are brutal to the evening routine). And I know that he didn't wake up to nurse when Dave pulled him out of the hammock to bring him to our bed when we went to sleep. And I know that he woke up hungry around 7:30am.

I honestly cannot remember if he woke to eat at any point during the night. Is that a downside of co-sleeping? That I can't remember if I fed him? Or maybe I'm just too sleep-deprived to remember? There is a (new) spit-up stain where his head was last night... so it seems likely that he did eat... if so, then I have apparently gotten so good at night nursings that I can LITRALLY* do the entire feeding in my sleep.

Now the only thing to figure out is how to get myself to sleep before 1am... at least I get to wake to this sweet boy, even if I still don't want to climb out of bed for another 4 hours.

*Yes, I know it's spelled literally. I was thensaloging.
